Caribbean Hut: Authentic Jamaican Cuisine in Charlotte

I purchased the oxtail plate and a beef patty. Food was very delicious and definitely a nice portion size. I have left overs and too full to eat my patty lol. Rice and peas cooked to perfection and the scotch bonnet adds the right amount of spice.

The food is very delicious, chose it cause they have vegan/vegetarian options. But def got it to go, no shade just not my scene. I was visiting from out of state but I'd make this place a regular

I came from Atlanta for a conference and always look for good Jamaican food since I’m of Nigerian descent and love Caribbean cuisine. This spot did not disappoint! The food was delicious — the meat was tender and falling off the bone, full of rich flavor. The cabbage was soft and well seasoned, and the plantains were perfect. The young gentleman who served me was very kind and accommodating. No complaints at all — keep up the great work! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

The customer service was good, the young lady was nice but I wasn't happy with the food. It was warm, came out quick tho. The meat portion was small for $17 small. The ox tails was tender but it was one the curry chicken was decent. So I feel i didnt get my money's worth. Or I'm not a rice type of gal so i don't want half a plate of rice. The plantains were pretty good.

The curry veg is good, and practically two full meals with how much they give you. The Mac and cheese is still some of my favorite in town. There's just something timelessly refreshing about the pineapple ginger beverage.

The food was amazing, the customer service was amazing, and the atmosphere was relaxing and also comforting! Def suggest it for anyone looking for some good authentic Caribbean food!

When I took a bite of my patty it’s a bit hard on the outside of the edges. It doesn’t look like the patty that I ate from the other Caribbean hut at North Tryon. Over there, their patties was pretty big and fresh out of the oven. This one is not. and their Cocoa bread is a bit hard and not fresh as well. I didn’t want to finish it. Overall, The service is good the place is nice but food could have been a bit better. Maybe if I come over here again and order something else maybe I’ll change the rating but other than that it’s not so great.
